On Monday, March 19, Google hosted a Google Developer Day at 2018"s Game Developer Conference (GDC). Then from March 21st through the 23rd they had a booth at the same conference. While you needed a GDC pass to attend in person, Google was kindly live streaming the event for our viewing pleasure.
Last year, when Google attended GDC they focused on increasing player engagement by showing off new monetisation and ad opportunities.
This year, they focused heavily on expanding the reach of mobile games, with emphasis on AR and multiplayer experiences. They also discussed how game makers could expand their user base to emerging markets.
